The United
Arab Emirates is a modern welfare state, where subsidsed high quality medical
care ia available to all, citizens and expatriates alike, and where education
from primary level to university is also on offer, to both men and women. The
country's University and network of Higher Colleges of Technology are now
producing several thousand male and femal graduates a year to take their place
in the building of their country. |

UAE women have also come over the
course of the last two decades to play a part in all walks of life, within the
framework of a philosophy of governance that insists that they have an equal
role to play in the development of the state.
The country enjoys an enviably low crime rate, offering security and stability to all of its inhabitants, due in part, perhaps to continuing influence of the traditional culture and heritage of its people, whose preservation in actively encouraged by Government.
