Despite its desert location, Dubai is a spectacularly green city with beautifully landscaped roadways and roundabouts. A drive through some of the busy interchanges is like a drive through the park. Yet its expansive parks offer beautifully landscaped areas for walking, picnicking and playing. Whether you are interested in splashing at the beach, riding a camel, taking the children on amusement rides or viewing an old desert village, there are several smaller parks with playground equipment and shaded seating areas to enjoy. A few parks are for ladies and children only and all the major parks have days limited to ladies and children.
